What’s Happening @Woburn Public Library

Cupids, hearts, Valentines…it must be time for the Woburn Public Library Children’s Room to host their annual preschool Valentine Party! Children ages 2 through 5 are invited to wear their Valentine finest and join us for stories and sweet treat on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies by calling the Children’s Room at 781-937-0405; otherwise, this is a drop-in program and there is no need to pre-register. We hope you’ll be our Valentine!

Scrabble Club, home of the Woburn Word Wizards, has an active schedule throughout the month of December, including school vacation week. The program meets on Mondays, 3:30—4:30 pm. Students in grades 4-8 are invited to come and learn the game, as well as pick up tips on how to get great scores and discover different strategies. Scrabble Club is a drop-in program, so students can drop by as they choose. After the start of 2014, the club will meet on Mondays, 3:30—4:30 pm, from January through mid-May. There will be a tournament in the spring with the Burlington Public Library, and more experienced players may qualify for the National School Scrabble Tournament. Come give it a try!

If the weather is bad, please check our web page or Facebook page, or call the main phone (781-933-0148) to be sure we are open and not closing early.

You won’t want to miss any of these programs!

These events are handicapped accessible.  If accommodations are required, please call the library at 781-933-0148 for further information.

Activities will also be posted on our web page: http://www.woburnpubliclibrary.org/.
